National Charro Championship - Thursday through Sunday
What could be more fun than a Mexican Rodeo?
The 12th edition of the National Charro Championship is about to begin and is expected to be the best Charro festivity in the region.
Included in the program are five of the six finalists of last year's tournament, where the winner was Rancho El Eden followed by Rancho La Biznaga, Los Tres Potrillos, Camino Real de Colima, Tequila Hacienda Vieja and Tequila Don Roberto, but any of the other 19 entries could provide a surprise upset.
As part of the Organizing Committee, Ibarria Armando Urrutia, promises "no bad days" in the four day Charro Championship to be held from February 27 through March 2, 2014.
Banderas Bay Jazz Allstars at PCC - Friday
The Banderas Bay Jazz Allstars are set to launch their third season exclusively on the Paradise Stage and will be performing most Friday evenings until April 4, 8:00 until 10:00 pm.
Their extremely popular concerts managed to smash our attendance records all last season!
Come and find out why everyone comes back to experience this amazing band over and over again.
Queen Coronation at San Blas Carnival - Saturday
During a recent press conference, the Board of Directors of the San Blas Carnival announced that this year’s event will be celebrated from February 8th through March 4th. This festival has 104 years of history to its name and was reinstated four years ago.
This is a very unique carnival in Nayarit thanks to its music, the parties, the parades, the costumes, and the cultural and artistic events. One of the main objectives of the Hotel and Motel Association is to promote its traditions, which also serves to stimulate the economy.
Oscar Gala at Paradise Community Center - Sunday
The fun starts early with a complimentary glass of bubbly, yummy hors d'oeuvres, red carpet interviews, professional photo-taking and conviviality, beginning at 5:30 pm when the doors open on Sunday, March 2. (Be forewarned, those who tarry may miss out on celebrity sightings, so punctuality is a priority!)
A multi-course buffet dinner, catered by chef extraordinaire Kathy Overly, follows the cocktail hour mingling, allowing plenty of time to dine and schmooze before settling in to watch this year's exciting awards ceremony on the Center's huge overhead screen.
