Expat Voter Registration Assistance in Vallarta-Nayarit Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas Chapter | |
March 30, 2014 |
Are you in Puerto Vallarta or Riviera Nayarit and planning to vote from abroad?
In 2009, the MOVE Act was signed into law. This act requires everyone who casts his/her vote from abroad to re-register in many states for every federal election year. This means that each American citizen who lives abroad should determine if they need re-register to vote in the state where you last voted.
One way to do that is to check at www.canivote.org, select the state you voted in last, and follow the links to your county.
Should you need to re-register, go to Vote from Abroad - OR - if you need assistance, volunteers will be available on April 9th and 11th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the following locations:
• MailBoxes, Etc. in Plaza Molino de Agua, Ignacio L. Vallarta 130, Local 3, Old Town Vallarta
• MailBoxes, Etc. in Plaza Peninsula, Francisco Medina Ascencio Blvd 2485, North Hotel Zone
• Philo's Bar and Music Club, 15 Delfin, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Riviera Nayarit
