World Environment Day is the time to realize that caring for the Earth is everyone's responsibility and become agents of change.
The World's Environment Day is celebrated every June 5 and is one of the main tools of the United Nations to promote awareness and action for the environment throughout the world.
Over the years, this celebration has grown to become a global platform involving people from more than 100 countries.
Puerto Vallarta is no exception and we are preparing to celebrate it big, we invite you to join and participate in this important date on the calendar.
On Wednesday and Thursday, June 4-5, Vallarta Bike will be hosting bicycle tours from 9:00 until 11:00 am. Preschool students will visit the API and jungle from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
On Friday, June 6, we invite everybody to Fideicomiso Estero el Salado (Vallarta's Environmentally Protected Area) for the World Day celebrations of the environment in the estuary from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
The Estuary will be open to the public with free admission to enjoy:
• Free boat rides and tours through the channels of El Estero Salado.
• Educational games
• Display of photographs of the school gardens project
• Display of photographs from the photography contest "The Vallarta I Love"
• Awards ceremony for the winners of the photo competition
• Display of the activities of organizations that contribute to the conservation and care of the environment
• Sale of food and beverages during the event.
Saturday, June 7 will be clean-up day for the estuary. This is an open call for all citizens and tourists to contribute to the cleaning of the channels that flow to the estuary, thus avoiding all the waste deposited in these areas from reaching the estuary. Join us from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.

El Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente (DMMA) es el momento para darse cuenta de que el cuidado de la Tierra es responsabilidad de todos y de convertirnos en agentes de cambio.

1. Miércoles 4 o jueves 5 de junio Vallarta en Bici, cicleada por el ambiente. de 9:00 pm a 11:00 pm.
2. Visita a API y a la Jungla por alumnos de preescolar. de 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
3. Viernes 6 de junio, CELEBRACION DIA MUNDIAL DEL MEDIO AMBIENTE en El Estero El Salado 10:00 am a 5:00 pm
• Recorridos Gratuitos por el Canal de Estero El Salado.
• Juegos Didácticos
• Exhibición de Fotografías del Proyecto Huertos Escolares
• Exhibición de Fotografías del Concurso de Fotografía "El Vallarta que quiero"
• Premiación de los ganadores del Concurso de Fotografía
• Exhibición de las actividades de las Organizaciones que contribuyen a la conservación y cuidado del medio ambiente.
• Venta de alimentos y bebidas durante el evento.
4. Sábado 7 de junio, MACROLIMPIEZA de 9:00 am a 1:00 pm
Convocatoria abierta a toda la sociedad que desee contribuir en la limpieza de los causes de los arroyos que desembocan al estero, evitando así que lleguen todos los residuos ahí depositados al estero.
