Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.
Bucerias Christmas for Kids Fundraiser - Monday
Join the Amigos de Bucerias in the Christmas for Kids annual fundraiser at the Drunken Duck on Monday, December 8 from 2:00 until 6:00 pm.
The aim is to provide a present for the poor children who otherwise would not receive anything – quite an undertaking!
Come along and have fun, dancing to live music, good raffle prizes – the proceeds will be used to buy the presents!
Festivities at Vallarta Botanical Gardens - Monday through Saturday
The long awaited ribbon cutting ceremonies for the Vallarta Conservatory of Orchids and Native Plants happened on December 6 but that's just a start to the week of festivities at Vallarta Botanical Gardens taking place from December 7-13.
Each day of the opening week is scheduled with activities to delight cultural and botanical explorers of all ages.
Picnic & Movie Fundraiser for PEACEAnimals - Tuesday
Join us for a great evening at the beautiful Villa Balboa while supporting the PEACEAnimals free mobile spay & neuter clinics on Tuesday, December 9.
The evening is being organized by the very capable and talented event planner and Villa Balboa manager, Cristhian Ríos.
We'll begin the evening's festivities at 6:00 pm with drinks and appetizers while watching the sunset.
The picnic supper will be served at 7:00 pm followed by the movie screening of "Les Garcons et Guillaume a Table!" ("Me, Myself and Mum") with subtitles in English.
Charity Bingo at Nacho Daddy - Wednesday
Bingo is Back!! December 10 & 23, January 7 & 21, February 4 & 18, and March 4 & 18.
Come back to the even NEWER Nacho Daddy for CHARITY BINGO benefiting Pasitos de Luz & Colina FREE Spay & Neuter Clinic.

Open House at American School - Thursday
On Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 8:30 - 11:30 am the American School of Puerto Vallarta will open its doors to families in Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas to discover why it is the best educational institution in the region.
We want families to LIVE the American School experience, so instead of a typical presentation we’ve set up a self-guided tour for visitors. There will be 11 stations in all, each one representing an important facet of our school. Families can choose to visit some or all the stations. Visitors completing the route will receive a prize at the end of the tour.
First Vallarta-Nayarit Classic Rock Festival - Thursday through Sunday
The first Vallarta-Nayarit Classic Rock Festival is set to take place from December 11-14, 2014 in Nuevo Vallarta. It’s billed as the “Only Classic Rock Festival in the World” and will feature an entire week of some of the best music from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
PV Men's Chorus Winter Concert - Friday and Saturday
Puerto Vallarta Men's Chorus is celebrating the continued growth of the Chorus with our Winter Concert, Higher and Higher, Mucho Mas Alto.
PVMC’s Winter Concert will present a musical picture of the progress of the Chorus, a “coming of age” metaphor in song. The concert represents a parallel struggle: the Chorus as it matures through its first few years of existence, and gay youth learning to surmount obstacles, find their identity and mature to adulthood.
The Winter Concert is the concept of PVMC’s new Artistic Director, Alfonso López. “Higher and Higher is about overcoming difficulties to the point where you believe in yourself, about growing our hearts and building our dreams. It’s a process in which we all participate.”
Enjoy our Higher and Higher concerts at Act II Stages – Main Stage, Insurgentes 300 (entrance on Basilio Badillo) in the Romantic Zone at 8:00 pm on Friday, December 12; and Saturday, December 13.
Latitude 38 & CVB Riviera Nayarit Sailors Splash - Friday & Sunday
Friday, December 12 — Riviera Nayarit Sailors' Splash Welcome to Riviera Nayarit Party, hosted by Marina Riviera Nayarit in La Cruz, is a meet-and-greet event under the tropical stars. In the past it has featured free music, hats and shirts, tequila tasting and more. Feel the warmth of Mexico starting at 7:00 pm.
Sunday, December 14 — Cruiser 'race' 1 of the three-'race' Banderas Bay Blast. This is free, Baja Ha-Ha style 'racing', which means you're sailing with friends, not against them. You can start from either Punta Mita for a spinnaker run to the La Cruz finish, or like most boats, start off at Paradise Marina for a very close reach to La Cruz. In either case, it's only about seven miles. 'Race' 1 is followed by the famous water balloon drop at Marina Riviera Nayarit and perhaps swimming pool volleyball, then music and good times at Philo’s Bar and Music Studio in La Cruz.

Christmas Concert by Children of the Dump - Saturday
Garbo Piano Bar and The Swedes Bar & Bistro will be welcoming students from Colonia Volcanes, located 45 minutes from PV, to sing Christmas carols at Púlpito Plaza.
Join us on December 13th at 7:00 pm outside The Swedes (Púlpito Plaza at Olas Altas) in Old Town Vallarta.
Come and enjoy the bilingual Christmas show and purchase your own angel to help support these wonderful children during Christmas time!
Puerto Vallarta Chamber Orchestra Winter Concert - Sunday
The Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Vallarta (PVCO) cordially invites you to join us on Sunday, December 14 at 4:00 pm in a musical journey from the past the present at Teatro Vallarta.
Enjoy some masterpieces of the greatest composers of all time, including "Romeo and Juliet" by Tchaikovsky, inspired by Shakespeare's play of the same name; an extract of the 6th Symphony "Pastoral" by Beethoven; an original composition by Carl Strommen entitled "Songs of the Prairie" and the beautiful rendition of "Ave Maria" by Caccini (Vavilov) sung by our oboista Kathy Overly.
