These adorable twin boys are currently gaining weight in the PuRR nursery, along with brother Kennedy and sister Regan.

They have a Furr-ever home awaiting in the states but need a ride to New Jersey!

And yes……they both have one green and one blue eye!!!

Macho in his PuRR Forever Home

A Farewell to Macho

Many of you reading this have had the opportunity to visit our shelter and probably met Macho.

He was thought to be our oldest resident, a big long-haired Orange & White male who had resided for the past few years in a special bungalow, “Macho’s House.”

He was always glad to have visitors and loved to be fussed over. He never met a lap he did not want to climb up on.

Unfortunately, old age and a possible stroke took Macho over the Rainbow Bridge earlier this month. His Virtual Dad, Dave Robertson, will keep his ashes and a tile will be painted to put on our Best Friends Wall. RIP Macho!!

Giving older or unadoptable cats a place to live out their lives in dignity is one of the missions of PuRR Project and we thank you for your support. If you would like to make a donation to help the approximately 125 adults we care for in our gardens, simply click on DONATE for more information.

Shelter Update

Our clinic & nursery were litter-ally swamped with litters of kitties in November!

Most had respiratory or eye problems and required a lot of tender care but all have survived and will soon be ready for adoption.

Macho’s House has been turned into a temporary nursery for the 18 youngest ones.

Thanks to a generous donation by Marty & Sharon Weber, we have finally been able to extend electricity to all our cat bungalows and finally have LIGHT!!

Jose does not have to rely on a lantern when there is an emergency after dark or he needs to give meds to kitties in the nursery.

Adoption Update: Eli & Peyton

Eli & Peyton were adopted as tiny kitties by Emily & Natalia Neish of Lowell, MA. when they visited our shelter in April of 2013.

Those of you who are lucky enough to have our 2014 calendar may recognize them as last month’s Calendar Boys!!

Emily reports that Peyton is in constant trouble and Eli is an angel-pie, but they are insanely bonded, as evidenced by this recent photo!

Thanks for taking such good care of our little boys, Emily & Natalia!!!
