Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.
Simply Barbra at The Palm - Monday and Wednesday
Steven Brinberg is an acclaimed vocalist and impressionist who is best known for being the premier impersonator of music legend Barbra Streisand. He literally appears to transform into her, both physically and vocally, in an extraordinary musical experience. So much more than a garden-variety drag performer, his professional performances on stage include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, and on Broadway in a benefit production of Funny Girl, featuring Whoopi Goldberg. Steven also enjoyed a very successful run at The Palm Cabaret and Bar last season, where he was met with rave reviews.
Steven is thrilled to return to Puerto Vallarta and The Palm with the talented Chris Denny, who will accompany him at the piano.

Musical Comedy Murder at ACT II - Wednesday through Saturday
Ringing in the New Year, the Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 will hit the Main Stage of ACT II Entertainment in Puerto Vallarta on January 2, 2015.
An hilarious whodunit...set in the mansion library of Elsa von Grossenkneuten in Chappaqua NY in 1940. She has invited the crew of a musical that had a series of murders associated with it to her home to consider a new show which she will produce. This is actually a ruse to reopen the cold case of the Stage Door Slasher. To tell you any more would spoil the fun.
MCM will be performed on Wednesdays through Saturdays, until January 17, 2015 at 8:00 pm.
Rural Organic Farm Walk - Thursday
If you enjoy local history and getting off the beaten tourist track, you'll love the Rural Organic Farm Walk.
Sandra Cesca of Escape Route Vallarta will return with this every Thursday adventure beginning on January 8, 10:00 am.
We take the local bus to rural pre-Hispanic El Tuito one hour south of Vallarta.
Shades of the Blues - Friday
Mikki Prost will be presenting Shades of the Blues at The Palm in Old Town Vallarta at 4:00 pm.
This show is a stroll down memory lane presenting the history of the blues dating back to over 100 years, but also the emotions invoked by these songs. The collection of songs portrays a wide range of genres that include tidbits of history about each one. You will delight in a special interpretation of the blues presented in the dance of the tango. This show will leave you humming your favorite songs reminiscent of times past.
Shades of the Blues will be presented every Friday until March 27, 2015 at the Palm.
