Becas Vallarta to Deliver a Million Pesos in Scholarships to Students Team Angels - Nuestras Noticias

On Saturday, August 15 and Sunday August 16, 340 Puerto Vallarta students will receive benefits at Los Mangos Library beginning at 10:00 in the morning.

These students will receive financial support through the efforts made by the Becas Vallarta Scholarship Foundation and one million pesos in scholarships will be delivered to deserving students.

With the slogan "Help us to achieve," Becas Vallarta will conduct the second installment of scholarships to children and youth in the region to continue their studies.

Delivery for junior high school and university students will be Saturday, August 15 from 10:00 am and for high school students on Sunday, also beginning at 10:00 am.

This time a million pesos in scholarships will be given to approximately 153 university students, 140 to pre-high school students and 47 high school students.

To Mariel Fregoso, President of Becas Vallarta AC, education is a tool in life that helps reduce social problems radically, "It is through education that we protect our youth from falling into the trap of crime or addictions," she added.

Students are eligible from various public schools in the city, chosen for their good academic performance, and are committed to maintain a minimum GPA of 8.5, for all levels.

Students receive support in kind consisting of a kit of supplies, and a voucher for tennis shoes, school and sports uniforms.

For high school students a check for 2,750.00 pesos is granted and university students are given a check for 3,500.00 pesos.

With the support of the expat community living in our city of Vallarta with the sponsors and donors, this work has become stronger than ever. Becas Vallarta supports students from the junior high until graduation from university. This stimulus changes lives and thanks to this support over the years, many of these students are now successful professionals.
