Join the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad in Puerto Vallarta for a panel discussion about issues and a brief review of data related to money in politics along with some of its effects and solutions on Tuesday, January 19 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm.
Panel Members will be Jerry Kroth, Tobe Jensen, John Wilson-Bugbee, and Paul Crist:
Jerry Kroth, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor Emeritus in the graduate counseling psychology program at Santa Clara University in California. Dr. Kroth has written twelve books in psychology presented over seventy-five papers various subjects including mass psychology, synchronicity, the psychology of propaganda and collective psychology.
Roberta “Tobe” Jensen, Ph.D, is Chair of Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas. Her career consisted of management roles in education, public broadcasting, and international consulting.
John Wilson-Bugbee has served as the CEO of a half dozen nonprofit housing development and service organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area over his 35-year career. He and his wife, Wendy, retired to PV in late 2001 and have loved every day of it. For the past 5-years John has written a political blog which explores the many facets of the United States' broken political system. The tagline for his blog, by the way, is "Make Politics Not War."
Paul Crist has owned and managed small businesses in Washington DC and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He has worked as a Legislative Aide in the US Senate for Paul Sarbanes (D-MD), and was a consultant on energy infrastructure projects in the US and Latin America prior to relocating to Mexico in 2002. Paul serves on the Board and Executive Committee for Americans for Democratic Action, a progressive policy advocacy organization founded in 1947 by Eleanor Roosevelt and others. He continues to consult on economic and health policy issues for Progressive candidates and political organizations.
The venue will be the Red Room of ACT II Stages in Old Town Vallarta at 300 Insurgentes, Corner of Basilio Badillo.
