Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.

Bucerias Senior Support Dinner Fundraiser - Monday

Bucerias Tercera Edad (Third Age) Senior Support invites you to our next fundraiser at Delicias Mexicanas Restaurant on Monday, February 8th from 6:00 until 10:00 pm.

You won't want to miss out on this one! Chef Abraham is cooking up something special for us (no beans).

Donation tickets are 250 pesos and includes live music to accompany your dinner.

Democrats Abroad Immigration Forum - Tuesday

The Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico presents a panel of experts on Tuesday, February 9 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm to speak on immigration topics specifically of interest to Americans living in Mexico.

Venue will be the Red Room at Act II Stages in Old Town Vallarta at the corner of Basilio Badillo and Insurgentes.

The panel will consist of Lic. Felix Zarate, Attorney At Law; and, Daniel Grippo, Lecturer of Mexico-US Relations.

CarnavalPV Mardi Gras Parade - Tuesday

Everyone will be in a dancing mood as the CarnavalPV floats get set to coast over the cobblestone streets pumping music into the air on Tuesday night, February 9th starting from the Sheraton Hotel at 8:00 pm.

Children and adults will snap up beads, toys and candy as parade entries hurl goodies to more than 30,000 spectators lining the three-kilometer route.

Event organizers will combine the party spirit with the competitive spirit as judges tally votes for the most creative entry to award the anxiously-awaited 5,000 peso cash prize.

Mexican Mojo Fiesta Fundraiser - Wednesday

The Amigos de La Cruz invite you to join them for an evening of fun for a great cause.

The venue will be Philo's Bar and Music Club //philosbar.com/ located at 15 Delfin in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.

Beginning at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 10, the Mexican Mojo Fiesta will delight the audience with Mariachi, Ropers, Folkloric Dancers, Music and Mojo.

And that's not all! Your ticket will include all-you-can-eat Philo's famous ribs.

Downtown Vallarta Art Walk - Wednesday
    
Puerto Vallarta has established itself as a vibrant center of art creation, exhibition and promotion. An important contribution to the city´s art scene is Puerto Vallarta´s ArtWalk which this year will be held every Wednesday, 6:00 - 10:00 pm, from October 28, 2015 through May 25, 2016. The participating galleries in Centro Historico offer works by important national and international artists. Remarkable paintings, exceptional sculptures, fine ceramics, blown glass and other types of noteworthly art are offered.

Tango Lessons in La Cruz - Thursday

Every Thursday, Tango classes will be held at La Cruz' Octopus's Garden with Miriam and Froy.

Miriam Krashnan, originally from Mexico City, and Froyamel Corro, from Morelia, are both classically trained in ballet and modern dance. Their passion for Argentine Tango and their success at the World Tango Festival in Buenos Aires make them sought-after performers and teachers in competitions, festivals and workshops throughout Mexico.

Miriam and Froy are Tango world semi-finalists. They will be leading instruction in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Riviera Nayarit from 7:00 until 8:30 pm.

Children with Cancer Fundraiser Breakfast - Friday

Please join us and invite your friends to celebrate 10 years of providing help to the Children with Cancer in Puerto Vallarta. You have been instrumental in the past, and would like for you to help us once again.

We invite you to join us for breakfast as we celebrate the International Day of Children with Cancer on Friday, February 12 at 9:30 am.

The venue will be the beautiful River Cafe overlooking the cascading Cuale River.

Live Theater Sayulita - Friday, Saturday and Sunday

With Live Theater Sayulita’s exciting sixth season coming up February 12, 13, and 14, you might want to know where the money for previous seasons has gone.

Ninety percent of the proceeds for each season have been donated to causes such as the women’s shelter (for victims of domestic violence), the Primaria and the Secondaria schools. A minimal amount goes to promote the plays and purchase theater equipment.

Live Theater Sayulita’s upcoming season, called “All in the Timing,” includes four one-act plays: The Philadelphia and Sure Thing by David Ives (the Philadelphia has been abridged by Judy Greber); Breaking Up Against the Wind by Charles Horn; and In Realty by Gerald DiPego.

Bohemia Viva at the Palm Cabaret - Saturday

Puerto Vallarta’s favorite Argentinian singers, Luis Lujan and Andrea Mottura of Bohemia Viva! help launch our 16th season at the Palm Cabaret with their signature sizzling Latin rhythms and sensual acoustic harmonies. Whether playing classic hits, or modern favorites, in both English and Spanish, Bohemia Viva! always brings the house down!

Bohemia Viva will be performing at the Palm Cabaret in Old Town Vallarta on February 13, 26; March 5, 12 and 19. All performances are at 7:00 pm.

Open Your Heart Fundraiser - Sunday

Join us at Corazon de Nina for our 3rd Annual Open Your Heart Gala in support of our local boys and girls in Puerto Vallarta.

The venue will be the CasaMagna Marriott Hotel in Marina Vallarta on Valentine's Day, Sunday February 14 at 6:30 pm.

Donation tickets are available for 1000 pesos until February 11 and for 1250 pesos February 12-14.

Your ticket includes a three-course dinner, live dance music & entertainment, sensational silent auction & raffle items, and a fabulous door prize donated by International Galleries.
