Spend Saturday Mornings 'Walking the Dog' with Friends of Puerto Vallarta Animals Kim Dewar - Friends of the PV Animals | |
August 11, 2016 |
Do you want to help the animals from Puerto Vallarta's Animal Pound? You wanna do something for them? Come join as a volunteer!
There's lots of activities you can do; take them out for a walk, bathe them, feed them, clean up their cages etc... Give them a moment of joy!
When you help as a volunteer, it's the only chance they have to feel loved and be happy since they live locked up in cages they have so much stress and energy and they have to let it out somehow.
Our group of volunteers meet every Saturday at 9:30 am by the front doors of Costco and travel to the Centro de Control Animal Shelter of Puerto Vallarta.
The dogs and cats will welcome you with open paws, tail wags and purrs.
The shelter relies entirely on donations to feed and care for its resident animals.
Here's a partial list of donation items constantly needed at the shelter:
• Adult Dog food
• Puppy food
• Adult Cat food
• Cat litter
• Vaccines (rabies and combinations)
• Antibiotics
• Basic veterinary equipment (sutures, syringes, scissors, tweezers, surgical gloves)
• Kennels/Crates (all sizes)
• Dog Beds
• Collars
• Leashes
• Puppy Pens
• Towels
• Dishes
• Flea Shampoo
• Grooming Supplies
• Cat toys
• Cat beds
We hope you will join us every Saturday morning in bringing some joy to our animals - and it will make you feel good too.
We invite you to add your charity or supporting organizations' news stories and coming events to PVAngels so we can share them with the world. Do it now!
From activities like hiking, swimming, bike riding and yoga, to restaurants offering healthy menus, Vallarta-Nayarit is the ideal place to continue - or start - your healthy lifestyle routine.
