The reviews are in and everyone is in love with the cast of Avenue Q…

Produced by the dream team of PV Entertainment, Director Alfonso Lopez and Act II owner Danny Mininni, Avenue Q has Puerto Vallarta saying things like, “Never before has anything like this been done!” Here are a few of the reviews that came in just after the successful opening night, and some that came in during the show!

From Gary Beck: "Sometimes one desires a heavy dose of escapism. Forget temporarily who you are and where you are and become absorbed in a funny, fast-paced zany romp with no care in the world. The route to take is viewing Avenue Q with a cast of singers, some with large hand-held puppets who move their mouths to the words and music of the show. Sit back and float away in this adult-themed Broadway show success. Tough times demand release and Act II has supplied such a ethereal path.

The Tony award-winning play was performed on New York's Broadway from 2003 to 2009 to astute theatrically critical audiences. It is a fresh and funny story of a young man searching for his purpose in life and along his way finds love and friendship in the community. It takes place in New York City and the street is Avenue Q, where puppets are friends, an address where struggling inhabitants can afford to live, avoiding the garbage dumpster area outside.   

The two acts are fast-paced and with a delightful score. The twenty one songs include "There's a Fine, Fine Line", "If You Were Gay", "Purpose", "The More You Ruv Someone" and "The Internet Is for Porn". One can feel a broad nod to the ground-breaking "Sesame Street". The result is a fond, funny and touching embrace with the cast displaying much heart.

It is directed by Act II Entertainment's Musical Director, Alfonso Lopez and features a talented local cast including himself: Kami Desilets, Stephanie Ramírez, Dwayne Carrier, Maria Desilets, Eli Estrada, Marsha Ross, Bert Ramírez and Pablo Rodríguez. Kami, Stephanie and Eli stood out with their strong and clear voices."  
 
AVENUE Q will take the Main Stage at 7:00 pm for performances on November 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 30 and December 1, 3, 7, 8, 10, 14, 21, 22.
