Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.
El Arrayan Cooking Class - Monday
Meet at El Arrayán at 9:30 am. Go for traditional Mexican breakfast, visit the market & tortilla factory. Come back to El Arrayán, receive printed recipes in English and embroidered apron. Receive hands on instruction in English. Have lunch of what we cooked. Includes one drink or one glass Mexican red or white wine. Transportation is included: restaurant to breakfast to market & back to restaurant. We are usually finished around 2:45 pm.
Free Malecon Sculpture Walking Tour - Tuesday
Gary Thompson, owner of Galeria Pacifico, conducts a FREE Malecon Sculpture Walking Tour in downtown Puerto Vallarta every Tuesday morning from mid-November through mid-April.
The tour begins promptly at 9:30 am at the north end of the Malecon in front of the Millennium sculpture which is next to the Hotel Rosita.
The 2-hour tour usually commences with artist Mathis Lidice describing and discussing his inspiration for the massive landmark sculpture Millennium. After about 15 minutes the art walk continues on to the next sculpture with interesting discussion taking place in front of each bronze statue.
Welcome Back Party La Cruz - Tuesday
Amigos de La Cruz welcome you to join them in their opening party fundraiser on Tuesday, November 29 to kick off the 2016-2017 season of activities and events in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
Wear all white! Get fancy, sassy and crazy!
White wigs welcome, and don’t forget your dancing shoes!
Prizes for Wild & Crazy, Most Elegant, Best Hat/Fascinator, Most Dapper Gentleman and more.
We'll meet between 4:45 and 5:15 pm in the La Cruz Marina parking lot. Guests will be given blindfolds and shuttled to a mystery location.
Charity Bingo at Nacho Daddy - Wednesday
We are back with Bingo at Nacho Daddy's and they have made fantastic changes to their venue with more room and comfort!!
We hope to see you every other Wednesday starting Wednesday, November 16!
Cards go on sale at 3:00 and the Bingo games start at 4:00.

Downtown Vallarta Art Walk - Wednesday
Puerto Vallarta has established itself as a vibrant center of art creation, exhibition and promotion. An important contribution to the city´s art scene is Puerto Vallarta´s ArtWalk which this year will be held every Wednesday, 6:00 - 10:00 pm through May 25, 2016.
The participating galleries in Centro Historico offer works by important national and international artists. Remarkable paintings, exceptional sculptures, fine ceramics, blown glass and other types of noteworthly art are offered.
Bucerias Day Tours - Thursday
Last tour season of Human Connections we channelled over US$12,000 into our clients' hands through our educational tours and programs, and we know that with your support this number can grow in the coming season.
Join us on Thursdays from 9:30 am until 1:30 pm.
Dog Adoption Walks on the Malecon - Friday
Join the volunteers from Vallarta Adventures as they parade the pups and adult dogs that are available for adoption up and down the Malecon.
The fun and healthy walk begins every Friday at 7:00 pm and the two hour walk begins at Hotel Rosita at the north end of Vallarta's oceanfront Boardwalk.
These rescue dogs will be all ages, all sizes and various breeds and mixed breeds. They will all be sterilized and be wearing neon green "Adopt Me" jackets.
Pet Picnic at Daiquiri Dicks - Saturday
Daiquiri Dick's and PEACEAnimals invite you to bring your furry friends for the annual Pet Picnic to take place this year on Saturday, December 3 at 11:00 am until around 2:00 pm.
We'll have a box lunch with choice of sandwich and doggie treats, a costume contest, raffles and other surprises.
Proceeds will benefit PEACEAnimals free mobile spay and neuter clinics that travel around Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.
The 11th Annual Pet Picnic promises to be another tale wagging event.
Save the Dogs & Cats FUN-raiser - Saturday
Casa Yvonneka's annual FUN-raiser to benefit the animals of Puerto Vallarta will take place on Saturday, December 3rd at 7:00 pm.
You'll be treated to:
• Live Music
• Open Bar, serving signature Margaritas, vodka, wine, etc.
• Gourmet dinner featuring continental and mexican specialties
• Silent auction
• Fireworks
• Breathtaking views
• Surprises
100% of ticket sales go directly to the various animal charities helping the Dogs and Cats of Puerto Vallarta.
River of Arte Show & Sale - Sunday
River of Arte 2016 is Puerto Vallarta's premier art event celebrating its 5th year benefiting the free Colina Spay and Neuter Clinic to take place on Sunday, December 4 from 12:00 - 5:00 pm.
What started modestly up the Rio Cuale five years ago is now Puerto Vallarta’s premier outdoor art show.
River of Arte 2016 promises to be the best yet.
More than 60 of Mexico’s most talented artists will be exhibiting at Oscar’s Restaurant on La Isla Cuale.
Admission is free, with proceeds from art, food and silent auction sales to benefit the Puerto Vallarta’s Colina Spay and Neuter Clinic.
