Candelaria Tovar asks the public to join Toy Drive.

With the hope of bringing a small gift and a little happiness to hundreds of our local underprivileged children, the System for Integral Family Development (DIF) Puerto Vallarta, chaired by Mrs. Candelaria Tovar de Davalos, extended the invitation to the population to join the Toy Drive campaign, "Donate a toy, a gift with love."

"We want our vulnerable children to have a smile this holiday season. We thank all the people who want to join, as well, because through this campaign we want to promote the values of solidarity and commitment, because every toy that is donated will be a sign of the commitment we have to our children," said the Director.

She added that the deadline for donations will be on January 3, 2017 so throughout the remainder of December, DIF offices will be open to receive the toys from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Candelaria Tovar said the day of delivery of toys will be on January 7th when 30 teams including employees of DIF and donors who wish to accompany them will meet with each group going to a sector of the municipality and deliver the gifts to the children in different colonies.

She noted that those interested in making donations should note that the toys should be recreational and not use batteries or have dangerous properties. In addition, the toys may be gently used, provided they are in good condition.
