Happy Holidays and News Updates from Human Connections in Bucerias

Elly Rohrer - Human Connections
December 17, 2016

Human Connections stands for meaningful conversations between people of different backgrounds and, considering the turbulence of 2016, we feel that this work is more important now than ever.

We celebrate the holidays with gratitude for the support we have received during this past year, and a special focus on deepening our impact moving forward. Thank you for standing in our corner!

The Impact of our Tours

During the fiscal year 2015-2016, HC hosted a total of 468 visitors and channeled over US$13,500 into the hands of local families through our day tours alone. This accounts for a 25% increase in community impact as compared to last year!

Help us continue our impact by joining a tour. See what our guests are saying about the experience on TripAdvisor, and sign up for a tour here!

We would also like to introduce our new tour guide Maya who has been part of our team since November. Welcome Maya!

Student Opportunities

This past year, we hosted 55 American students for week-long Global Engagement Trips, hosted in Mexico and Ecuador, and worked together with 23 interns. We are currently getting ready to welcome another 12 interns, who join us right after the holidays.

Keep an eye on our website in the coming months for information about our summer internship opportunities!

Connecting People: A Proactive Holiday Gift

Help us continue to challenge stereotypes and shift perspectives about the “other” by making an investment - large or small - toward our growth. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, meaning that donations are tax-deductible.

Donate to Human Connections in honor of a loved one, and we will send them a personalized letter and certificate. Investing in Human Connections’ growth means taking proactive steps to foster cross-cultural understanding.
