Mayor Arturo Dávalos Peña initiated the lighting of the monumental Christmas tree which illuminates the Malecon of Puerto Vallarta during this holiday season.
With great anticipation, the families of Puerto Vallarta along with national and international visitors welcomed the arrival of the large pine tree of 11 meters in height (approximately 36 feet) adorned with color and lights which will undoubtably be the background in thousands of holiday photos.
In his message, the Mayor expressed his best wishes and stressed that this is the time of year when we focus on enjoying family and reflect on what has been done this year and continue onward surrounded by good wishes for peace, love and health.
He thanked also the support of those who made possible the installation of this great tree: Jorge Zambrano and José Luis Arellano of Canirac; Gaby Zaragoza of Zaragoza Marine and Opequimar, working hand in hand with the Council in bringing this colorful work of art to the Malecon. This project was also made possible through the Directorate of Municipal Tourism, Ramón González Lomelí.
