Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.

Chanukah Party at River Cafe - Monday
This is more than a dinner, We are having a “celebration”!
It's not too early to reserve your space at Puerto Vallarta's River Cafe for a special Chanukah Dinner and Party on Monday, December 26 at 6:30 pm.
The dinner courses begin with Salmon Crostini followed by the main course of Braised Chicken, Broiled Red Snapper, Steamed Organic Vegetables or Latkes, and Sour Cream or Apple Sauce. The special dessert will be Molten Chocolate Cake served with vanilla ice cream and berry sauce. Beverages include coffee, hot tea, iced tea and sodas.
Free Malecon Sculpture Walking Tour - Tuesday
Gary Thompson, owner of Galeria Pacifico, conducts a FREE Malecon Sculpture Walking Tour in downtown Puerto Vallarta every Tuesday morning from mid-November through mid-April.
The tour begins promptly at 9:30 am at the north end of the Malecon in front of the Millennium sculpture which is next to the Hotel Rosita.
The 2-hour tour usually commences with artist Mathis Lidice describing and discussing his inspiration for the massive landmark sculpture Millennium. After about 15 minutes the art walk continues on to the next sculpture with interesting discussion taking place in front of each bronze statue.
Democrats Abroad Movie Screenings - Tuesday
The Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad invite you to join us every Tuesday at 7:00 pm for our traditional film series screenings from November 22, 2016 until April 4, 2017.
We have a new venue this year which is the comfortable Jazz Foundation located in Old Town Vallarta on the Malecon at Allende.
Please come early at 6:00 pm on the day of the film and enjoy food & drinks before the film starts.
Charity Bingo at Nacho Daddy - Wednesday
We are back with Bingo at Nacho Daddy's and they have made fantastic changes to their venue with more room and comfort!!
We hope to see you every other Wednesday starting Wednesday, November 16!
Cards go on sale at 3:00 and the Bingo games start at 4:00.

San Pancho Sinergiarte Festival - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
The San Pancho Collective (CSP, by its acronym in Spanish), an open group of people interested in artistic and cultural expression as well as the rescue and fair appreciation of traditions, education, the community and the environment is celebrating its 11 years of existence and its 2016 Sinergiarte Festival.
The Sinergiarte Festival is a celebration in honor of time and its process, in other words, in honor of transformation. According to the CSP press release: “We’re aware that it’s a privilege to live within a community in a place that’s so filled with beauty, art, society, nature and peace: we were inspired by the image of 11, a 1 in front of another 1, each recognizing the other in its reflection. And that is how we are all 1.”
The Plaza del Sol, or the square, as it’s traditionally known, will be the focal point for this festival of lights, colors, aromas, tastes, magic, music and community from sunset on December 28 until the evening of the 30th of December. The attendees will be able to enjoy excellent international-quality shows and all the welcoming family friendly-atmosphere and local flavor for free.
Bucerias Art Walk - Thursday
Join us at the Bucerias Art Walk Plaza where "Life is an Art Walk."
The Bucerias Art Walk Starts the first Thursday in November and is every Thursday thru April from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
Over 17 galleries participate at this weekly event, where we "Bring Art to the Streets."
Stroll under the palm trees, enjoy a traditional Mexican taste treat and a cool sip of sangria while discovering the un-discovered art and artists of Nayarit and Jalisco.
Watch our on-site artisans produce their craft, discover new artists & soak up local color, get inspired and sign up for our daily workshops.
Free Concerts on the Malecon - Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Thousands of tourists from Mexico and around the world meet in Puerto Vallarta to bring in the New Year in this beautiful city. The innumerable restaurants, nightclubs and especially the Malecon become the meeting point to enjoy this great celebration.
This year, there will be three evenings of free concerts heading into the New Year for the enjoyment of locals and visitors.
Join the celebration at Los Arcos on the Downtown Puerto Vallarta Malecon on December 29, 30 and 31 beginning at 8:00 pm.
South Side Shuffle - Friday
Take a stroll down Basilio Badillo every other Friday evening beginning on November 18 for art, jewelry, fashion, collectibles, restaurants, food, drinks, live music and fun.
Over seventeen Shops, Galleries & Restaurants open their doors for the return of the Friday evening Southside Shuffle in Old Town Vallarta.
This is one of Vallarta's more festive events and the party runs from 6:00 to 10:00 pm and features live music, cocktails and all kinds of great stuff.
Southside Shuffle dates are December 30; January 13 & 27, February 10 & 24, March 10 & 24; and April 7 & 21.
Good Morning Wake-Up Radio Show - Saturday
The Saturday morning Wake Up Show hosted by Michael Nolen broadcast from the University of Guadalajara at Puerto Vallarta, set your radio dial to 104.3 fm every Saturday morning from 9:00 until 10:00 am. You can also tune in online.
This show is all in English and is a non-profit show paid for by the University.
The broadcast includes information about everything going on at the PV University of Guadalajara and how you, the English-speaking community, can become involved.
Rockabilly Sensation at Palm Bucerias - Sunday
Our stage is ready for 1950s Great Hits! The Sunday nights in Bucerias are set for swing/rockabilly dancing, great drinks, and fun for the whole family with Rockabilly Sensation show!
Rockabilly Sensation best known as Joker Trio Band. Based from Guadalajara city with Rock and Roll, Surf, Blues with unmatched style.

Every Sunday through March, 2017 doors open at 6:00 pm and performances will begin at 8:30 pm.
