Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.

Gypsy Rumba at The Palm Bucerias - Monday
Gypsy Rumba was born from the need to bring a musical career to the next level and fulfill their goals as musicians with a new feeling, new songs and five expert musicians. The band is carefully formed to bring a unique and delicate project who mix rhythms, Latin, Flamenco, Gypsy and World Music. The band has a fresh and energetic sound that is going to spread to the masses from the first song.
You are invited to enjoy the Gypsy Rumba performances in air conditioned comfort at the new Palm Cabaret and Bar Bucerias on January 2, 16, 30; February 13, 27; and March 13, 27. All shows begin at 8:30 pm.
Free Malecon Sculpture Walking Tour - Tuesday
Gary Thompson, owner of Galeria Pacifico, conducts a FREE Malecon Sculpture Walking Tour in downtown Puerto Vallarta every Tuesday morning from mid-November through mid-April.
The tour begins promptly at 9:30 am at the north end of the Malecon in front of the Millennium sculpture which is next to the Hotel Rosita.
The 2-hour tour usually commences with artist Mathis Lidice describing and discussing his inspiration for the massive landmark sculpture Millennium. After about 15 minutes the art walk continues on to the next sculpture with interesting discussion taking place in front of each bronze statue.
Democrats Abroad Movie Screenings - Tuesday
The Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad invite you to join us every Tuesday at 7:00 pm for our traditional film series screenings from November 22, 2016 until April 4, 2017.
We have a new venue this year which is the comfortable Jazz Foundation located in Old Town Vallarta on the Malecon at Allende.
Please come early at 6:00 pm on the day of the film and enjoy food & drinks before the film starts.
PuRR Project Kitty Bingo at Margarita Grill - Wednesday
Come play Bingo with us at Margarita Grill on Wednesday, January 4!

Grand Pub Quiz Challenge Fundraiser - Wednesday
If you love trivia then you won't want to miss the Grand Pub Quiz Challenge 2017.
The complete 300 peso donation entry fee (per person) goes directly to the Vista Hermosa Playground Project ... AND ... we buy you a drink every night of the tournament and you can win fantastic prizes!
Bring your friends and enjoy a friendly pub quiz as we will move from week to week to another bar!
We also have over 25,000 pesos in prizes from generous sponsors all over Puerto Vallarta.
Teams will consist of 2-6 players, so get your team together and show up at 7:30 pm.
Bucerias Art Walk - Thursday
Join us at the Bucerias Art Walk Plaza where "Life is an Art Walk."
The Bucerias Art Walk Starts the first Thursday in November and is every Thursday thru April from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
Over 17 galleries participate at this weekly event, where we "Bring Art to the Streets."
Stroll under the palm trees, enjoy a traditional Mexican taste treat and a cool sip of sangria while discovering the un-discovered art and artists of Nayarit and Jalisco.
Watch our on-site artisans produce their craft, discover new artists & soak up local color, get inspired and sign up for our daily workshops.
Bohemia Viva at The Palm - Friday
Puerto Vallarta's sweethearts, married couple Luis Lujan and Andrea Mottura, return to their 'other home' thrilling us wth their stylings, vocals, guitar and harmonies.
Bohemia Viva will perform at the Palm Cabaret on January 6, 13, 20, 21, 27, February 22, March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 at 7:00 pm, and February 1, 8, 15 at 9:30 pm.
Good Morning Wake-Up Radio Show - Saturday
The Saturday morning Wake Up Show hosted by Michael Nolen broadcast from the University of Guadalajara at Puerto Vallarta, set your radio dial to 104.3 fm every Saturday morning from 9:00 until 10:00 am. You can also tune in online.
This show is all in English and is a non-profit show paid for by the University.
The broadcast includes information about everything going on at the PV University of Guadalajara and how you, the English-speaking community, can become involved.
The 39 Steps - Alfred Hitchcock - Saturday
Alfred Hitchcock's classic spy thriller, The 39 Steps, is brilliantly and hilariously recreated for the stage as the smash-hit, winner of the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy in 2007.
The 39 Steps follows the incredible adventures of its handsome hero, Richard Hannay, an Englishman, complete with stiff-upper-lip, British gung-ho, and pencil moustache.
This wonderfully-inventive and gripping comedy thriller features four fearless actors, playing 139 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced fun and thrilling action.
You can catch The 39 Steps on the Main Stage of Act II Entertainment at 7:00 pm on January 7, 10, 11, 14, 17, 18, 21, 24, 25, 28, 31 and February 1, 4, 14, 21, 28.
Rocket Man Tribute to Elton John - Saturday and Sunday
If you're a fan of Elton John, you won't want to miss Rocket Man, Jeffrey Artamanov's one-of-a-kind Tribute to Elton John.
Doors open at El Rio BBQ on Saturday, January 7, at 6:30 pm where you will have the choice of 4 dinner entree options. You can opt for the show only at 8:00 pm.
If you miss Rocket Man at El Rio BBQ or need more of Jeffrey as Rocket Man, you can catch him at the Luna Lounge in Bucerias on Sunday, January 8.

Calling all Musicians, Singers, Dancers, Variety Acts - of ALL AGES - time to show off your Talent and Help your Community!
