Paramotoring: The Easiest Form of Human Flight

With everything from the new exhibition at the Naval Museum, a visit to La Tovara National Park, the Becas Scholarship Awards, Arabian Nights at Teatro Vallarta and learning to fly like a bird on a paramotoring adventure, there's something for everybody this weekend around Puerto Vallarta.

"Embracing the Unknown" at Vallarta Naval Museum

The Association de la Plástica de Garza García A.C. was founded in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, 26 years ago and currently comprises more than 70 artists, some of whom are being presented at the Naval Museum exhibition which will run until August 31.

During the exhibition of Abrazando a lo Desconocido (Embracing the Unknown), more than 30 artworks of 15 artists from Monterrey will be exhibited in the Naval Historical Museum of Puerto Vallarta.

The Museo Naval (Navy Museum) is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm. Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 3:00 to 7:30 pm.

Puerto Vallarta Naval Museum is located downtown at the south end of the Malecon by the ocean and Los Arcos.

Visit La Tovara National Park in Riviera Nayarit

Head up to La Tovara National Park located near San Blas in Riviera Nayarit, where you will discover the largest collection of birds in Mexico, a clever film set, and adventures in the jungle.

Chencho, the tour guide, has a pet word that explains everything, and walking through the marshes of La Tovara with this guide becomes an endless adventure. Every sentence he utters begins with "So..." and through his tales, Riviera Nayarit begins to unravel a different way.

Chencho always offers his tour of the mangroves early in the morning while a light mist covers everything in the dock. So… you have to get up early to enjoy this tour. He initially appears on board motorized panga, just like in a scene of a Hollywood movie.

The tour begins either at the pier of La Aguada or El Conchal. Then Chencho heads to the mouth of the estuary next to the Pacific Ocean, called El Pozo. So… he points to his right index and says: "There lies Borrego Beach, the closest beach to the Port of San Blas, and to the left you'll find Las Islitas Beach, at Matanchen Bay."

Go Paramotoring: The Easiest Form of Human Flight

Watch the video showing a simple demonstration on how easy is to fly a Paramotor (motorized paraglider). The whole process of setting up, taking off, a short flight, landing and packing up the gear is about 8 minutes.

With the Miniplane Top80 paramotor set up you can stay up flying for a good 4 hours on a single gas tank! Definitely one of the simplest forms of human flight.

A personal flying machine that fits in the back of a truck with very affordable price tag! For every dreamer out there who always wanted to explore the world from a bird's perspective!

Feel free to ask questions - we will be super happy to welcome new birds here in the beautiful Puerto Vallarta!
