Puerto Vallarta Initiates Replacing Emergency Call Number from 066 to 911

Team Angels - PVAngels
January 6, 2017

In Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, 066 has been the emergency call number for police, fire and ambulance services.

Effective on January 9, 2017, emergency calls should be made to 911.

The 911 number was launched in October in 16 of Mexico's 32 states including Nayarit.

Even though both numbers will be effective for about the first six months of the year, once the 911 system becomes fully operational throughout Jalisco, the 066 number will be phased out.
