To those who are just getting to know us, A Page in the Sun has been a Puerto Vallarta icon since its humble origins over twenty years ago; in a shared retail space with a young and enthusiastic travel agent, just a few blocks from our current café-bookstore location.

A Page in the Sun opened with a single rotating bookshelf on a quiet street in Old Town near the beach. The big idea in a small corner of what was then a relatively remote part of Vallarta has evolved and adapted confidently to the changing needs and tastes of our community.

A Page in the Sun is a place of stories that extend beyond books, they include Vallarta's own story; growing from a little known corner of paradise on gorgeous Banderas Bay to an international vacation destination. Our story has been written and shaped by our friends and customers, and is yours to share and enjoy over a cup of coffee, a game of chess or a great novel.

Our menu features fresh, delicious and satisfying items perfect for a full meal or just a light snack.

We offer cakes, cookies, brownies, homemade bread, hot and cold drinks from our espresso bar, snacks, sandwiches, smoothies, and other beverages perfect for enjoying with a great book or great friends.

Our family has been working with local farming communities around Jalisco for nearly 2 decades to produce the distinctly rich and bold coffee that has made A Page in the Sun the coffee connoisseur's choice.

Our coffee is organically grown and hand-picked in the Sierra Madre Mountains. Only select coffee beans are chosen, sun-dried and transported to Puerto Vallarta, where we complete the drying process. Our team then roasts and grinds the coffee into four distinct coffee blends for you to savor.

Whether you are an espresso connoisseur or a cappuccino aficionado, you will recognize and love the unique taste that our locally-produced coffee offers in every cup.

We are Puerto Vallarta's original English bookstore offering all major genres including bestsellers, crime novels, literary classics, pulp fiction, science fiction and everything in between, in paperback and hard cover books.
