Gathering in PV for Human Rights (Tricia Lyman)
Tricia Lyman: 500+ women, men, & children gathered to show our solidarity with all of the Women's Marches around the world. Very proud of how many gathered with only 4 days notice!! Thank You Linda Ellerbee & Maria O'Connor for joining with me in this worthy endeavor!
Jack Bramy: I attended the Puerto Vallarta version of the 'Woman's March' today in support of my sisters in arms. Considering all the publicity this received the past week on a few of PV's more popular social media sites the turnout was a bit disappointing, but we did get some 500+ people to turnout.
We, the people, are petitioning our government .. a time honored tradition in The States. Will it accomplish anything? Maybe .. maybe not. BUT .. we ARE putting our new President AND our Congress on notice that we will NOT put up with their bullshit !
Right on Puerto Vallarta Expats/Snowbirds/tourists. :)
Georgia Darehshori: Thank you, Linda Ellerbee, Tricia Lyman, Maria O'Connor and other dynamic thoughtful people for organizing this event. (It matters not when the idea was conceived it just matters that it was conceived.) It was an honor for me to lend my shaky voice to yours in this beautifully unifying experience. I am very inspired to keep up the momentum to do what I can in my little corner of the world to help effect positive change. I love the mantra of my immigrant husband who always said, "if it's to be it's up to me."
The march in San Pancho was terrific and also had around 500 participants.
