The Chacala Cultural Foundation cordially invites you to celebrate the culmination of the Winter Artist Residency with a dinner and art auction and exhibition on Friday, February 3, at the Marina Chacala Beach Club.

All this week and last, artists have been creating original pieces inspired by their time in Chacala - from the en plein air beach and town scenes of Don Sahli, to the nature-inspired paintings of Ireri Topete, to the masterful prints of Marisa Boullosa. The work of these talented artists and other artists-in-residence will be on display and available for purchase via both live and silent auction.

Doors open at 5:30 pm for cocktails and viewing, and dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. Chac Mool will provide a 3-course meal, including a beet salad, a marinated fish fillet on corn treated-as-risotto & a dessert. There will be a vegetarian option also.

The live auction will begin following dinner, featuring selected works from the four winter resident artists, as well as works from previous artists-in-residence. These items have been donated by the artists, and all auction proceeds will go to the Chacala Cultural Foundation to support the 4th Annual Chacala Music & Arts Festival this March.

There will also be a silent auction throughout the evening featuring additional selected residency artwork, as well as a raffle for other fun prizes. Additional artwork from previous residencies will also be on exhibition and sale. Both cash (pesos or U.S. dollars) and credit cards will be accepted for art purchases.

Tickets for the dinner and auction are 500 pesos (not including alcoholic beverages) and available for sale at the following locations: Chac Mool; Las Brisas; Mauna Kea Cafe; and Caballito del Mar.

For those who cannot attend the dinner and auction, or just want another opportunity to view and/or purchase artwork, selected pieces of residency artwork will be on display and for sale on the plaza Saturday, February 4, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
