U.S. Political Situation Discussion - Monday
Join Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas for this presentation and discussion about how the new U.S. political situation will impact your investment portfolios from both the American and the Mexican perspective.
We'll meet at the Red Room of Act II Entertainment on Monday, February 20 at 2:00 pm.
Academy Award Movie Screenings - Monday through Saturday
Join the Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas Chapter for the series of Academy Awards nominated movies to begin on February 18 and continuing until February 25 with screenings at 2:00 and 6:30 om..
The venue for the screenings will be The Jazz Foundation on the Downtown Puerto Vallarta Malecon.
TED Talks Vallarta Style - Tuesday
Each presentation in the series will challenge your mind as well as inform you of topics that are of interest to the community.
The series is produced by local resident Norma Schuh and presented every other Tuesday at the Boutique Theatre from 10:00 am until Noon until April 18.
Charity Bingo at Nacho Daddy - Wednesday
We are back with Bingo at Nacho Daddy's and they have made fantastic changes to their venue with more room and comfort!!
We hope to see you every other Wednesday starting Wednesday, November 16!
Cards go on sale at 3:00 and the Bingo games start at 4:00.

Mariachis, Margaritas & More - Thursday
Thursday, February 23, the Amapas Neighborhood Association and Viejo Vallarta are throwing a party – a real Mexican fiesta – and you’re invited!
There’ll be buffet service from more than 40 of your favorite local restaurants.
Non-stop entertainment will feature an amazing Mariachi band, folkloric dancing, and Act II Stages star Brittany Kingery, who’ll be performing classics from the Linda Ronstadt songbook, celebrating her Mexican roots.
This is a truly bilingual, bicultural celebration, and a chance to experience it with not only your friends, but our local Mexican neighbors!
We’re all here to build bridges, not walls, so come and join the fun on Thursday, February 23, from 6:00 to 11:00 pm at the Lions Club, #280 Francisco Madero (across from Bravos), in Emiliano Zapata!
Classic Car Parade and Exhibition - Thursday
There will be 86 classic cars that participate in the XVII edition of Costa del Sol Classic Car Tour.
The Rally begins on February 23 in Guadalajara from Plaza Acueducto and will pass by the city of Tequila and head to the beach of Chacala where drivers will enjoy a meal by the sea. In the evening they are scheduled to arrive in Puerto Vallarta.
It will be in this destination where an exhibition will be held to the public. The classic cars will parade from the Hotel Zone and are expected to arrive at the Puerto Vallarta Downtown Malecon on Thursday, February 23, beginning at 8:00 pm where you are invited to visit the public exhibition.
South Side Shuffle - Friday
Take a stroll down Basilio Badillo every other Friday evening beginning on November 18 for art, jewelry, fashion, collectibles, restaurants, food, drinks, live music and fun.
Over seventeen Shops, Galleries & Restaurants open their doors for the return of the Friday evening Southside Shuffle in Old Town Vallarta.
This is one of Vallarta's more festive events and the party runs from 6:00 to 10:00 pm and features live music, cocktails and all kinds of great stuff.
Southside Shuffle dates are February 24, March 10 & 24; and April 7 & 21.

Brittany Kingery, originally from Washington State, but now living in Puerto Vallarta, is presenting her sensational new show called "Hasten Down the Wind," a tribute to the timeless music of living legend, Linda Ronstadt, winner of 11 Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, an Emmy Award, an ALMA Award and numerous United States and internationally certified Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum Albums!
You can catch Brittany Kingery in the Red Room of Act II every Friday at 7:30 pm until March 31, 2017.
Good Morning Wake-Up Radio Show - Saturday
The Saturday morning Wake Up Show hosted by Michael Nolen broadcast from the University of Guadalajara at Puerto Vallarta, set your radio dial to 104.3 fm every Saturday morning at 9:00. You can also tune in online.
This show is all in English and is a non-profit show paid for by the University.
The broadcast includes information about everything going on at the PV University of Guadalajara and how you, the English-speaking community, can become involved.
American Legion Chili Cook Off - Saturday
The 2017 version of the Post 14 Chili Cook Off is taking place on Saturday, February 25.
This will be the FIFTH annual Chili Cook Off for the Post. Last year an estimated 500 paying customers sampled chili’s from 20 different sponsors. This year’s event looks to be at least as large.
As in year’s past, the event will take place at El Rio BBQ Restaurant in Paso Ancho. It’s a beautiful location right along the river. (They also have great food and fine entertainment – year around).
Gates will open at noon and tasting will begin at 1:00 pm.
Annual Art Auction at the Library - Sunday
Biblioteca Los Mangos, one of Puerto Vallarta’s most renowned cultural centers, announces its 17th Annual Art Auction, to take place February 26, 6:00 pm.
“The auction is an annual fundraising event that we’ve been producing for 17 years,” commented María José Zorrilla, who coordinates the event along with a handful of voluntaries. “It also allows for a lively interaction between Vallarta’s residents, artists and local art galleries, all of which get an up-close look at Los Mangos’ diverse academic and cultural offerings.”
