Volkswagen Parade and Expo Weekend of Guayafest Team Angels - PVAngels

On Saturday March 11 and Sunday March 12 Rincón de Guayabitos will welcome the eighteenth edition of Guayafest, a traditional expo festival for classic and modified Volkswagens held in Riviera Nayarit.

The President of the Association of Hotels of the Municipality of Compostela, Dr. Alejandro Chávez Bustos, stated that it is expected that 300 of these German-designed cars will converge on the streets of Guayabitos during this family-oriented event from many different states.

The organizers include TPC Bugs Club and the Asociación Nacional de Clubes Vocheros de México.

The traditional inaugural parade of Volkswagens will take place on Saturday afternoon beginning at 6:00 and will also tour the neighboring towns of Los Ayala and La Peñita de Jaltemba.

The expo and competitions for the various categories will happen on the main plaza starting early on Sunday morning.

Chavez Bustos added that the Guayafest brings together various Volkswagen models for exhibition and competition, so that attendees of the event will be able to observe both historic and modified automobiles including the classic Bug (Beetle), Golf, Jetta, Passat and more.

The variety of sponsors include the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Compostela Hotel and Motel Association, as well as the backing of the local authorities to guarantee the safety, fun and success of this very important event for Guayabitos.
