This week Casa Cupula is installing 24 solar PV panels to generate 6480 watts of electricity in our sunny tropical environment. This will greatly reduce electrical use from the grid for our Casa Ramona property.

Our installation will have the lifetime effect of avoiding over 400,000 tons of CO2 emissions, the equivalent of over half a million miles driven in a gasoline car. If you are concerned about the environment, you can feel good about staying at Casa Cupula.

In addition to our solar panels, we have taken a number of actions to minimize our environmental impact: Energy efficient inverter air conditioners installed in all rooms by this summer; Solar heat for three of our infinity and dipping pools; Recycling throughout the property of aluminum and plastic.

This is not supported by the government in Vallarta but is a private initiative promoted by our membership in the Amapas Neighborhood Association.
