Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.

Brittany Kingery at Act II - Monday

Act II Entertainment is excited to welcome back the one-and-only, chart-topping, award-winning, Darling of Vallarta, Brittany Kingery, this season! Every Monday evening, Brittany will bring her sweet, soaring voice and all-live band, appearing as a HEADLINE singer on the Red Room Stage. Originally from Washington state, now residing in Vallarta, her critically-acclaimed original and cover songs have been inspired by her experiences and life here in Mexico! She has also earned quite a reputation with huge accolades from her many fans of Troprock and Acoustic music.

Performances every Monday until April 24 at 7:30 pm.

Free Malecon Sculpture Walking Tour - Tuesday

Gary Thompson, owner of Galeria Pacifico, conducts a FREE Malecon Sculpture Walking Tour in downtown Puerto Vallarta every Tuesday morning through mid-April.

The tour begins promptly at 9:30 am at the north end of the Malecon in front of the Millennium sculpture which is next to the Hotel Rosita.

The 2-hour tour usually commences with artist Mathis Lidice describing and discussing his inspiration for the massive landmark sculpture Millennium. After about 15 minutes the art walk continues on to the next sculpture with interesting discussion taking place in front of each bronze statue.

This is the final tour of this season.

Elvis Tribute at Dz Route 66 Diner - Tuesday

Rob has performed many of Elvis' songs so often, he has the delivery and moves down pat. Rob growls on the lowest notes and if you close your eyes, you murmur: Is Elvis back again?

You are able to see Rob Knight at D'z Diner every Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Consider coming early for some tasty food.

Downtown Vallarta Art Walk - Wednesday

Puerto Vallarta has established itself as a vibrant center of art creation, exhibition and promotion. An important contribution to the city´s art scene is Puerto Vallarta´s Art Walk which this year will be held every Wednesday, 6:00 - 10:00 pm through May 31, 2017.

The participating galleries in Centro Historico offer works by important national and international artists. Remarkable paintings, exceptional sculptures, fine ceramics, blown glass and other types of noteworthly art are offered.

Collectors, patrons, residents and interested visitors can discover art of outstanding quality in the 8 participating galleries where exhibiting artists present their work.

PV Garden Club Meeting - Thursday

Join the Puerto Vallarta Garden Club on Thursday, April 20 at 5:00 pm at Incanto (Insurgentes 109 at Rio Cuale) for the last Membership Meeting of the Season.

Reception begins riverside at 5:00 pm, followed by a presentation from David Muck, Garden Club President, at 5:45 pm.

This month, we will receive an update on all of our accomplishments this year and also get a glimpse at what's planned for next season. It's impressive, so don't miss this important meeting.

Bucerias Day Tours by Human Connections - Thursday

Last tour season we channelled over US$12,000 into our clients' hands through our educational tours and programs, and we know that with your support this number can grow in the coming season.

Join us on Thursdays from 9:30 am until 1:30 pm.

South Side Shuffle - Friday

Take a stroll down Basilio Badillo every other Friday evening beginning on November 18 for art, jewelry, fashion, collectibles, restaurants, food, drinks, live music and fun.

Over seventeen Shops, Galleries & Restaurants open their doors for the return of the Friday evening Southside Shuffle in Old Town Vallarta.

This is one of Vallarta's more festive events and the party runs from 6:00 to 10:00 pm and features live music, cocktails and all kinds of great stuff.

This is the final South Side Shuffle of the season.

Good Morning Wake-Up Radio Show - Saturday

The Saturday morning Wake Up Show hosted by Michael Nolen broadcast from the University of Guadalajara at Puerto Vallarta, set your radio dial to 104.3 fm every Saturday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 am. You can also tune in online.

This show is all in English and is a non-profit show paid for by the University.

The broadcast includes information about everything going on at the PV University of Guadalajara and how you, the English-speaking community, can become involved.

Earth Day at Botanical Gardens - Saturday and Sunday

Every day is Earth Day at the Vallarta Botanical Garden where we celebrate the natural wonders of our planet, especially its floristic diversity. Nonetheless, it doesn’t hurt to make some extra noise about this during the official international celebration on April 22.

We’re taking this one step further through a weekend of activities for you to enjoy. We hope you can join us in person for our special Earth Day Weekend celebration!

Bucerias Oyster Festival - Sunday

Party on the beach like a Banderas Bay local at the 17th Annual Bucerías Oyster Festival on Sunday, April 23rd, beginning at 5:00 pm and serving up 5,000 fresh-shucked oysters on the half-shell, ceviche, live mariachi music, a beauty pageant, and starlit boat parade, all totally free.

Considered a delicacy by foodies around the world, oysters are the last seafood treat you might expect to be free. Only when you visit our neighbor village known as the “Place of Divers” during the 17th Annual Bucerías Oyster Festival, they are just that. Honoring the end of oyster season in El Punto Beach, it’s quickly become one of the most treasured food festivals in Vallarta-Nayarit all year, equally beloved by locals and visitors alike.

Beers, Boys & Burgers Pool Party - Sunday

Want to see hot guys in swimwear every Sunday? And top off that view with unlimited juicy burgers and cold beer? Then our Beers, Boys & Burgers event at Hotel Mercurio is your perfect Sunday Funday!

Every Sunday, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, the pool at the Hotel Mercurio is the hottest scene in the city for hot guys in their sexiest swimwear making it a favorite hangout for both residents and visitors.
