The Los Mangos Library Cultural Center invites citizens and visitors to participate in a Casino Night that will be held on Friday, May 19, from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
The event will offer attendees four different game tables including Craps, Poker, Blackjack and Roulette.
Try your hand at Darts, drinks and snacks will be available, enjoy DJ music and win great prizes in the raffles.
Join us for a fun night with friends for the benefit of Los Mangos Library, our Public Library and Cultural Center in Puerto Vallarta.
"The funds raised in our Casino Night will be specifically directed to the presentation of the APAPACHO Early Education program at the Participation and Democratization of Knowledge Conference (ARNA 2017) to be held in Cartagena, Colombia," explained Adriana García, Director of the Cultural Center. "APAPACHO (which means 'cuddle' in Spanish) is a free learning program aimed at parents and their children from 24 to 36 months of age. It consists of six sessions of two hours each, on Saturday mornings. Our pilot program was a success and we are currently conducting the second series."
The cost of admission to Casino Night will be a 150 pesos per person donation and includes a complimentary drink and 150 "MangoBucks" to start the game. Participants can purchase additional MangoBucks to continue playing and purchase drinks during the event, which will be only for adults.
The Los Mangos Library Cultural Center offers learning opportunities for children, adolescents and adults through a wide variety of cultural classes and workshops.
