We proudly welcome this important parade as Vallarta marches with the world against Homophobia.

Join us on Wednesday, May 17 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm as we march from Sheraton Buganvillias south to Los Arcos on the Malecon.

Come out to stand and demonstrate that we live in fear no longer.

"A decree published in Mexico’s official government newsletter declared a 'National Day for the Fight against Homophobia' to be celebrated on May 17 of every year. The decree was signed by Mexican President Enrique Peña and his Secretary General Miguel Angel Osorio.

... The decree states that homophobia is the fear, rejection or aversion to others because of their sexual preference, gender identity and expression, based on stereotypes, prejudices and stigmas, expressed in discriminatory attitudes and conducts which undermine the person’s equality, dignity, rights and freedom, and which may generate different types of violence.

It goes on to say that on May 17, 1990, the World Health Organization’s General Assembly eliminated homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses, making said date the worldwide celebration of the International Day against Homophobia."

On this International Day Against Homophobia, fighting together with thousands of participants worldwide, play your part to raise awareness and show your support to the victims of this condition.
