Open wide and say AHHHH... (Dental Avant Garde)

Barbara Roche and Norma Adams, both of Villa Amor, have organized a free dental clinic to provide dental cleanings and treatments for Sayulita locals on Saturday, June 3rd and Sunday, June 4th. “We are offering this clinic because dental care can be costly for our locals and not getting care can lead to all sorts of problems, including infections that can spread from the mouth throughout the body, if ignored,” said Barbara.

The clinic, which is made possible by a dental group from Dental Avant Garde in Puerto Vallarta volunteering their time and services, will take place in the Ejido building in Sayulita, beginning at 9am each day. They will be bringing all equipment and medicine in order to meet the needs of the local Sayulita people. According to Barbara, “we anticipate 80 patients will be seen and treated with x-rays, cleanings, fillings, and extractions, if needed”.

Many Sayulita businesses are helping to make this dental clinic possible. Hotel Sayulita Central is donating rooms and breakfasts for the dental group, and Nirvanna Spa is donating 15-minute neck and back massages to each dentist and practitioner. Several local restaurants will also be donating food and meals, including Don Pedro’s, El Break, and The Real Fish Taco.
