One of Puerto Vallarta's grande dames is showing off a new look this year. The Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway recently completed a $3.8 million renovation of all its guestrooms and facilities.

The hotel, in operation since 2006, has always offered its guests the best of both worlds in Puerto Vallarta, sitting directly between the hotel zone and the beginning of the Malecon and downtown Puerto Vallarta.

The renovations were done in two phases: The first included all rooms and suites, while the second included the bulk of the public spaces.

The finished product is elegant and understated, giving a luxury boutique experience amid the hustle and bustle of energetic Mexico Avenue in downtown Puerto Vallarta.

Repeat guests at the Villa Premiere will automatically notice the face-lift on the entrance and lobby, which underwent a complete renovation with new facades and a contemporary design. The open-air lobby gives way to a redesigned pool and lounge bar, the highlight of which is the new infinity-style pool that overlooks the beach.

Next to the pool, La Ceiba restaurant was enhanced with a new, panoramic second floor as well as a wood-fire oven for gourmet pizzas.
