In addition to the sunscreen and bathing suit, a tennis racquet needs to be added to the traveler's suitcase to be part of the Fifth Summer Tennis Tournament 2017, to be held at the Sheraton Buganvilias Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, August 2-5, under the organization of Martín Parra Estrada, Tennis Director of the hotel.

Martín Parra told Sports of the Bay (Deportesdelabahía.blogspot.mx) that Puerto Vallarta is distinguished by making important and attractive tennis tournaments, seeking to give a plus to vacationers who come to this tourist destination to enjoy the natural beauty, but also to stay active in the sporting environment, and if you can, win an economic prize that will help them to have their vacations more pleasurable.

The attractiveness of the tournament will undoubtedly be in the category of professionals, where the purse to be distributed will be 25 thousand pesos, and, in addition, the host hotel will be contributing  rooms to the players of the main squad, so the organizing committee is waiting for confirmation from those players.

As a tournament endorsed by the Mexican Association of Tennis Professionals, the participating players will also be awarded points for the national ranking.

The tournament will be played on the courts of the Sheraton Hotel, in the men's singles mode and will cost 500 pesos, with registrations closing on July 31 at 6:00 pm.

On Wednesday, August 2, the qualification signature will be made and the next day the signature of the main table will be signed. The competition system will be to win 2 of 3 sets, with sudden death in all sets.

On the award, the 25 thousand pesos and score will be distributed as follows: Champion, 9 thousand pesos and 50 points; Finalist, 4 thousand pesos and 37.5 points; Semifinalists 2 thousand pesos and 25 points; Quarter Finals, 1 thousand pesos and 12.5 points and 8th finals, 500 pesos and 6 points. The rest of the participating players will be awarded 1 point for the national ranking.

Of the tournament for the amateur categories, the cost of inscription is 500 pesos for adults and 450 pesos for juveniles. The participating categories are A, B, C, D in men, and B, CY D for women. Also participating are the Juniors FMT, Master 100, and 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 years.
