Entries are already open at the Los Mangos Library Cultural Center for the Autumn 2017 Academic Cycle, which will begin on August 28. "We are happy to start our new academic cycle, after a successful Summer Course," said Adriana García, Director of the Cultural Center.
The new academic cycle offers 50 courses and workshops in various artistic disciplines, and for all ages. Some of them are held over three months, while others consist of independent workshops, to which one can attend individually. "The important thing for us is that every day that passes, more residents and foreigners identify us as an important cultural center in the city, which fills us with satisfaction," added the director.
You can explore the cultural and academic offer of the Los Mangos Library School Center by visiting its section of Workshops and Courses on the website, where you will find descriptions of all the courses, as well as links to biographical records of all instructors.
Those people familiar with the courses offered by Los Mangos will probably notice an increase in the prices of some courses. "Our goal is to keep the cost of our courses and workshops affordable for the majority of the population," said the director. "But as our cultural offer increases, it is inevitable that our administrative expenses will increase as well as the payments expected to be received by Los Mangos teachers."
It should be noted that the Los Mangos Library Cultural Center is a civil association that receives less than 5% of its annual operating budget by the municipal government. The rest of the Cultural Center's income comes from its courses and workshops, fundraising events, and the altruistic heart of its donors.
After a week dedicated to rest and re-organization, the Los Mangos Library Cultural Center returns to its normal schedule of activities from Monday, August 21: Monday - Friday, 10 am - 9 pm; And Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm.
