Puerto Vallarta Gears Up for World Tourism Day 2017 Turismo Municipal de Puerto Vallarta

The Honorable City Council of Puerto Vallarta through the Municipal Tourism Board and with the full support of the Tourism Council of Puerto Vallarta will once again celebrate World Tourism Day, where the main subject is “Sustainable Tourism a Tool for Development”.

Our city, will be part of this important world celebration in which there will be notable participation in different activities, and in which it emphasized that they will be handing over the keys of the city as Distinguished Visitor to the main wholesale agencies:

• NATURLEÓN: Lic. Alfonso Yerena.

• RECORD VACATION: Lic. Jorge Benavides.

• IMACOP: Lic. Rodolfo Camarena.

• MAGNICHARTERS: Gabriel Bojorquez.

• SYSTEM TOUR: William Araujo Carrillo.

This in order to recognize their outstanding participation and contribution, for and in the good of the destination in their respective activities to our main activity that is “TOURISM” and which we will be celebrating during the 26th and 27th of September with different activities. We will participate with students of different levels, cultural activities, conferences in favor of the sector with various subjects by specialists in the matter. We will award to Personalities of the Guild for their outstanding activity from their trenches and with the which have left their mark in Puerto Vallarta in favor of tourism.

1. Norma Furlong (Tukari) great tourism activist in Puerto Vallarta.

2. Antonio Rubio ( Alaska Airlines) for its trajectory in the different airlines in Puerto Vallarta.

3. Juanita Correa (Research in the academic sector in the tourism field.)

4. Saul Lopez (Boating) Participation and trajectory in the tourist area of operator and tourist services of boats.

5. Tim Longpré and Gary Green Tim for their participation in the community and promoting diverse tourism that is important in our destination.

6. Carlos Elizondo (Gastronómica) producer of the most important gastronomic event in the region.

7. Carlos Arceo (Medical Tourism) for promoting medical tourism in Puerto Vallarta.

8. Eva Sanchez (Merit on Restaurant Business) for her trajectory in the gastronomic field in international and national tourism in Puerto Vallarta.

9. Canopy River (Adventure Sport) for promoting and boosting the extreme adventure sport in the tourism sector.

10. Ludwin Estrada (State Tourism) to highlight his public work as an official in the state’s tourism secretariat in Puerto Vallarta.

11. Ruben Miller (Tourist Official) for his act as the first delegate of tourism in Puerto Vallarta and a tourism entrepreneur..

12. Lorenzo Tapia (Leasing company Budget) for his career in tourism industry and business sector.

13. Martin Almadez (Poesía en el malecón) su aportación en materia turística cultural en la realización del poema plasmado en el malecón II de la marina camino a Olas Altas.

14. Ricardo Verdayes (Merit on Hotel Business) for his brilliant career and great support to the actions of the Town Hall.

The event will take place between 26 and 27 September in different points of the city and in which activities will be organized for different sectors from the tourist union to the students and the community in general.
