Chucho is our cover dog this month. He was hit by a car and was in a terrible state when he arrived at the shelter. He laid incontinent in his bed for weeks and now has had the strength to stand. He still has a broken femur which will require surgery but for now he is walking with the other dogs. He is still unable to control his bladder or bowels but we continue to hope that he will improve.
We had to make the unfortunate decision to stop rescue at this time. We just do not have the funds to keep the shelter going and pay the huge vet and food bills. If you'd like to donate to help us out, please go to our donate page.
The other dogs at Puppyland still recovering from surgery have had Reina help with their rehabilitation. She is doing massage, physiotherapy, and pool therapy to get the dogs moving again. If you'd like to donate towards Reina salary to help our surgical recovery dogs please check out our donate page on the website here.
Very sad news to share of the passing of our amazing foster mom Judi Roy. As well as information that you made need to have a pet guardian in the event of your passing.
Beautiful paintings created by Rodolfo and are available to purchase. 50% of the cost goes to the shelter.
The dogs that are currently in protocols (vaccinations and sterilization), as well as those that are ready for adoption, are listed in our Adoptable Now.https://www.adogsnewlife.org/adopt
We continue to keep you informed on our financial status this month, our donors, rescues, and adoptions.
