Sunday Farmer's Market in La Cruz Reopens for Third Season
Lori Wilson - Amigos de La Cruz
October 13, 2012
The Sunday Farmer's Market in La Cruz will start their third season on Sunday, November 4, 2012, beginning at 10:00 am.
This Artisan Products Market will again be held on the premises of Marina Rivera Nayarit in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
More than a hundred producers of food, jewelry, textiles, handicrafts and art prints are ready with their wares in the beautiful Market setting by the sea, surrounded by palm trees, bougainvillea, live music and lots of good vibes.
In addition, there will be workshops for children and an ambiance that can only be found at the market.
This market is distinguished by virtue of the inclusion ONLY of vendors who produce the products themselves, so a truly unique variety of products is offered to the lucky public.
Last year, the Market grew in popularity with each passing week, visitors traveling from all parts of Jalisco & Nayarit to attend.
This year will feature many new & exciting vendors and the layout has altered slightly to accommodate changes of the facility.
This event will take place every Sunday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. at Marina Rivera Nayarit, the Mercado del Mar.
The Amigos de La Cruz table needs a few more volunteers. Lori says, "For two seasons, I had a blast working at the table almost weekly and last season coordinated our amazing team of volunteers. This season, I'm ready for a break, but we can't have a table without volunteers. This is a great opportunity to be part of the La Cruz community, meet your neighbors and make new friends."
In addition to staffing the table, the Amigos needs a volunteer to coordinate coverage. "Although it's more fun to share the table with another person, it can be managed easily by one. With four volunteers, you would only have to cover four hours per month. Piece of cake – and such an enjoyable way to support the Amigos!"
