As part of the Day of the Dead festivities, the Municipal Engraving Workshop, the Holistic Institute of Culture and private sponsors will present an exhibition of prints created with different techniques such as etching, ink water, dry point, digital and more.
This international event, held annually, involves students and teacher Ireri Topete from the Engraving Workshop who have organized 150 pieces sent from countries all over the world.
The cultural exchange is entitled "La Calaca Press" and its theme revolves around general traditions of Latin America in respect to death.
This event was created by Nicaraguan, Carlos Barberena, who used social networks to connect with art lovers around the world from countries like the United States, Canada, Nicaragua, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Spain, Serbia, Ireland, Italy and Mexico interested in participating in this international cultural exchange.
The exhibition starts on November 2 at 6:30 pm in the Bernice Star Room of the Los Mangos Library.
This event will be accompanied by other activities such as altars for the Day of the Dead.
