As part of the International Day Against Homophobia in Sports, the University of Guadalajara, in collaboration with the Colectivo Diverso UdG, the Higher Secondary Education System, the Centro Universitario de la Costa, the Fundación Federación Estudiantil Universidad de Guadalajara and the Federación Universitaria (FEU) presented the first edition of the "Corre con Orgullo Puerto Vallarta 2024" race.

With the firm purpose of promoting a greater inclusion of sexual diversity in sports, as well as promoting respect and equality, this sporting event will take place on Saturday, June 29th at 5:00 p.m. on the Malecon of Puerto Vallarta, starting and finishing at the Arcos del Malecon, running along the entire Malecon.

The call is open to everyone, with distances of 2.5 and 5 km in a single branch, including categories for children, youth, free, seniors and adapted sports. It is expected the participation of at least 1,000 people, the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone who would like to be part of this first edition.

Dennis Cardenas, director of Colectivo Diverso, highlighted that this race has a state and national scope, promoting inclusion, diversity and respect towards the LGBTQ+ population.

Registration has a cost and will be open from February 20 in Puerto Vallarta, at the Centro Universitario de la Costa and at the Regional High School of Puerto Vallarta, as well as through the Colectivo's social networks.
