Mexico is stepping up its war against drug traffickers and that is leading to record purchases of US made weapons. CCTV America’s Franc Contreras filed this report from Mexico City.
US government figures show that between 2008 and 2014, the US Congress approved 2.4 billion dollars to help Mexico fight its powerful drug cartels.
Mexico’s long list of military acquisitions from the United States includes more than 3,000 Humvee vehicles at a cost of more than half a billion dollars.
