Mexico is stepping up its war against drug traffickers and that is leading to record purchases of US made weapons. CCTV America’s Franc Contreras filed this report from Mexico City.

  • US government figures show that between 2008 and 2014, the US Congress approved 2.4 billion dollars to help Mexico fight its powerful drug cartels.

  • Mexico’s long list of military acquisitions from the United States includes more than 3,000 Humvee vehicles at a cost of more than half a billion dollars.
