The Communications and Transportation Secretariat (SCT) said that television deliveries to citizens will be completed in a timely manner and the appreciation of the dollar won’t be an obstacle to the Digital Terrestrial Television (TDT) transition.

...Communications and Transportation Undersecretary Mónica Aspe Bernal said that to date, the agency has delivered 60,000 digital televisions in 730 municipalities and 256 states. There will be an increased delivery capacity of 80,000 units per day.

With this adjustment, the transition to digital television will end in December as set by the constitutional reform, said Aspe.

In June, the SCT delivered 4.3 million televisions and included more than 90 percent of the low-income households defined by the Social Development Secretariat (Sedesol), she said.

...The analog switch is needed to start the third television station and to release the 700 megahertz spectrum band used on the shared network.
