The Quiksilver Surf Open Acapulco is organized by Quiksilver and presented by the Tourism Bureau of the State of Guerrero and supported by the Mexican Surfing Federation. It has the aim to promote surfing as well as the natural beauty of the country. This is more than a surfing contest.

It is a lifestyle festival where participants can enjoy amazing surf action, attend art expos and workshops, live concerts, surf and yoga lessons, beach volleyball, beach soccer tournaments, skateboard contests and much more. It is a celebration of active and healthy lifestyle.

The surf contest is open to local and international surfers. They will battle for $100,000 USD cash prizes. Angelo Lozano, Christian Corzo, David Rutherford, Yuco Trujillo and the other talented Mexican pro surfers await the other competitors to display their skills.

The Quiksilver Surf Open Acapulco takes place between the 17th and 22nd of July, at Playa Revolcadero, in Acapulco, Mexico. To find out more about this event, please visit the Mexican Surfing Federation website.
