The CCTV footage shows the moment that the heir to Joaquin Guzman’s multimillion pound drug empire was seized at gunpoint at an exclusive Mexican restaurant.

Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar, 29, can be seen on his knees with a machine gun to his head after seven attackers armed with assault rifles burst into the La Leche restaurant in Puerto Vallarta.

Other diners hide under the tables in terror as what are believed to rival cartel members burst into the restaurant. Then Guzman and five other members of his father's Sinaloa cartel are rounded up at gunpoint.

Four – including Guzman – are then seen being forced to kneel in the restaurant's lobby with their hands behind their heads.
