Mexican Minister of Health Jose Narro highlighted the key training in Cuba of Mexican doctors in medicine, which will help improve the quality of health services in Mexico.
'The experience in the training and education of Mexican students has been more than good, I would say extraordinary,' Narro told the Prensa Latina news agency during a meeting with the media.
'We know the quality of the Cuban health system, and we greatly appreciate what the government's programs have done to give the population more years of life and more quality in those years,' he said.
'In that regard, we are sure that we can continue to strengthen those actions', he said.
'From now on, we will start a new stage of collaboration in this field of health services and systems of the two societies,' he said.
Narro, heading a Mexican delegation visiting Havana last week, said that the commitment of Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, is to strengthen ties between the two governments, societies and institutions.
