One&Only Palmilla will host its Second Annual Mexican Culinary Festival November 7-11, 2012, featuring some of Mexico’s most talented chefs and highlighting wines from the Guadalupe Valley.

The second annual Mexican Culinary Festival, which features Mexican chefs and winemakers from Guadalupe Valley, returns Nov. 7 to 11 to the One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. The four-day event includes cooking demonstrations, dinners, meet and greets, seminars, and the rare chance to sample wines from Guadalupe Valley which are seldom seen outside of the region.

Daily cooking demonstrations held by visiting chefs like Roberto Solis of Néctar in Merida, Jair Téllez of Laja in Guadalupe Valley and Merotoro in Colonia Condesa, and Enrique Olvera of Pujol in Mexico City will be held in the resort’s new Outdoor Kitchen and Herb Garden. Fresh indigenous chilies like habanero, pequin, and poblano, and herbs like cilantro, epazote, and sweet basil from the garden will be used in the dishes.

The Mexican Culinary Festival also features three degustation dinners, each designed by a different visiting chef.

Guests can also participate in wine and tequila tastings with Mexican winemakers and mezcal producers, such as Andres Blanco of Moebius and Ulloa, Reynaldo Rodríguez of Quinta Monasterio, Silvia Philion of Mezcaloteca A.C., and certified sommelier Humberto Falcon of The Little Wine Market and CRU The Little Wine Bistro.

The One&Only Palmilla has a four-night package for two to coincide with the festival, which includes the three chef degustation dinners and daily cooking demonstrations.
