In the year 2013 we welcome new traditions, and Amigos A.C. is proud to announce the First Annual Art Cars & Float Parade 2013 on Sunday, June 2, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm.

Amigos A.C. invites you to share in this moment by entering your special design in the parade for the community and  joining us to celebrate our creativity, brotherhood and spirit of friends in this celebration of Puerto Vallarta's anniversary. All organizations are strongly invited to participate.

Originality, creativity, attractiveness and demonstrating a spirit of friends are some of the most important points that you must keep with the theme in creating your design. These characteristics must be present in your design to have more of a chance to win.

There will be three different categories in which you can sign up to participate. Each category will have its own winners.

The categories are as follows:

• Small Vehicles (motorcycles, bicycles, skates, skateboards, etc.)

• Medium Vehicles (golf carts, cars and trucks)

• Traditional Floats (trailer, mobile platforms, trucks, vans, etc.)

All vehicles will be judged during the parade with an explanation to the judges of the individual design concepts and the winners will be chosen based on the following considerations:

• Creativity

• Originality

• More Humorous

• Best representation of the theme

Each unit will be judged separately. There will be one winner for each category.

We invite you to continue celebrating this terrific year by welcoming new traditions of our beautiful city of Puerto Vallarta and to give life to your organization exalting your creativity in this wonderful parade.

The parade route will be from the area of Sam's Club at the Maritime Marina south to the Presidencia Municipal by Los Arcos on the Malecon in Downtown Vallarta.

The mission of Amigos, AC, is to inspire and empower all children, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring; to provide a safe place to learn and grow while having fun. It's where great futures are started each day; with quality education system appropriate to attract children and hold their interest, improve their behavior and increase their expectations and goals.

The Car & Float Parade is part of our extracurricular activities in helping our children and youth achieve success in school, explore career opportunities, to stay healthy and practice important skills that will serve them throughout life, to promote interest in sports and artistic activities, as well as positive conflict management, raising confidence and self esteem.
