Join us at Vallarta Botanical Gardens from August 18-31 where we will be celebrating our "Rain Forest Environmental and Conservation Festival."

The tropical dry forests of our region are magically transformed during the summer rainy season taking on characteristics of true rain forests.

Nowhere is this more the case than at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens in our rainforest demonstration areas.

The current highlight of these areas are two of the most famous Mexican rainforest plants - cocoa and vanilla - which are in fruit at this time.

Even the ride out to the Gardens along the highway (Carretera 200) is a spectacular sight to behold now with waterfalls  and trees cloaked with vines and encrusted with orchids and bromeliads. Prepare for an unrivaled botanical experience!

On kick-off day, Sunday, August 18, come and join the other groups of Puerto Vallarta that also have an impact on the environment and conservation. Learn about local efforts to save our planet. Workshops and discussions from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. This day is Free Admission all day!!!

Daily activities throughout the festival included with your 60 peso/person entry fee:

• Garden tours
• Bird watching tours (bring your binoculars)
• The Los Horcones River for swimming
• Movie hour
• Face painting, arts and crafts, coloring books... and more

The "Lost Mine" Gemstone & Mineral Experience will be available for 80 pesos.

We also will have a special menú during the Festival featuring Panini Sandwiches with the choice of Chicken or Ham with a drink of jamaica juice or lemonade, all for 100 pesos per person.

If you would like to participate in the kick-off event on Sunday, August 18, please call Steve at (322) 223-6182.
