The Puerto Vallarta firefighters and lifeguards turned up the heat at the 2014 Calendar Release Party, attracting over 200 people to Friday night's launch party.
The event, held at Encuentro's, featured appearances by the calendar "models," live auction, entertainment by Piel Canela, popular photo booth and raffle.
Clark Lipe and Darwin Halfin generously bid on auction items provided by Casa Isabel, Canto del Sol, Vallarta Adventures, La Perla GDL Bed & Breakfast, Casa Dorothy, Xocodiva and the Puerto Vallarta Fire Department.
"This event serves as a reminder of the enormous risks taken by emergency responders on a daily basis," remarked Elroy Quenroe who graciously donated his winnings back from the 50/50 raffle. "We are grateful for your life-saving efforts and public service to all of us in Puerto Vallarta and throughout Banderas Bay."
Carol Clarke was one of the first to purchase the 200 peso 14-month calendars and added "First responders are the unsung heroes who respond day and night to life threatening situations without hesitation or delay and deserve tonight's recognition."
Calendars are now on sale at Salud Super Food, PVRPV.com office, Deja New Consignment, The Coffee Cup in the Marina, Timothy Real Estate Group, and Alexander A Salon in Plaza Marina. 100% of the 200 pesos or $20 US donation will benefit the Department's training and education programs.
