When you count on safety, Governor Roberto Sandoval Castañeda emphasized the great progress in this area, and reported that Nayarit remains one of the states with the lowest crime rates in the country.
This was announced by Reforma News from a study conducted by the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System, by state, where it published the number of crimes per 100 thousand inhabitants during the period January-August 2014.
In this analysis, Nayarit filed a total of 407 cases, which places the state among the top three places with less crime rates in the country.
"Peace has returned to the streets of Nayarit and out citizens are experiencing happier times without fear. The Government of the People, in unity with Nayarit, have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of our citizens which has not been easy, but it was worth it. Today again in the national media, the Reforma newspaper reports that our state is one that has the lowest crime rates in the country. Let's keep working day and night to remain a national example in security."
Intense operations, joint strategies among the three branches of government and the active participation of the society has made Nayarit the safe place it is today.
Roberto Sandoval said the biggest investment made in Nayarit is public safety with better police elements selected, trained, equipped, tested and better paid.
He also acknowledged the support of President Enrique Peña Nieto to bring down the crime rate in the state and continued efforts of work in this regard.
