Canadian award-winning singer Kim Kuzma first appeared in Puerto Vallarta in 2005, entertaining locals and visitors season after season. She earned the Top Selling Act of the High Season the last two years. The lady possesses an extensive vocal range and sassy, funny and friendly stage presence. Her casual often candid conversations with her audience have earned her a loyal following of fans. In San Francisco, she has shared the stage of the Palace of Fine Arts and The Castro Theatre and was featured with the Gay Men’s Chorus. Now she returns to the Red Room at Act II in Puerto Vallarta which is a classy yet comfortable place with cozy seats.

"Sway [Let's Get Loud]" started off in a rousing fashion.

Randy Crawford's "Streetlife" moved and swayed the crowd with its brassy bold and throbbing beat. The band demonstrated its tight, wild but organized hot grooving sounds. "Nothing Can Come Between Us" was followed by "Smooth Operator" made famous by "Four Note" Sade. Kim controlled the song; it became hers.

Her band consists of: Eduardo León on lead guitar, Fernando Huerta González on guitar, Roberto Falcon on bass guitar, Bob Tansen on flute and Enrique Jiménez on percussion and drums. They work as a unit, ultra-tight, reacting and responding to each other with Kim feeding off their smooth energy just as they do with hers. Fantastic co-operation leads to a professional result, as good as anyone can find around here.  Some listeners said this is the best band in the Bahía de Banderas.

Her own composition, "Braveheart" proved that she is a formidable song writer. "Loca" sung by Fernando with his guitar was remarkable. New worldwide star Sam Smith's "Stay" was performed beautifully. "One" [U2 and Mary J Blige] demonstrated her power and range.

"Rhiannon" one of the best from Stevie Nicks impassioned the house into roaring approval. Stunning delicate and mellow version of this great song. "Bailando" [Enrique Iglesias] sung by Fernando flowed into "Let It Go" [Luba], musical threads moving effortlessly into another tune almost undetected.

The second set kicked off with the Eurythmics [Annie Lennox]'s smash "Sweet Dreams". The arrangement and vocal created a high point of the night. A terrific surprise occurred when Kim called Clarita León [Eduardo's mother] up to the stage where she sang and danced to a classic Mexican song. She took us on a path back into the old venues long ago.

After discussion then decision, "Silent Night" was sang for the Holidays. Eduardo strung the familiar melody, then a stop, and the band jumped in with a mid tempo interpretation. Finally, Kim joined in voice, silky and slow. The entity was outstandingly superb.

"Bombaleo" sung by Eduardo tossed strong Latin beat into the air. It was hard to keep out of the aisles and dance. "Only Girl [In the World]" from Rihanna reminded us what a super hit tune this is.

"Acústico" is a wonderfully pleasing, pulsating CD collection of pop songs and dance music all of which she makes her own. She had copies available at the show.

A special Christmas Evening performance will be offered to anyone looking for an special event that night. She will also be at Act II Entertainment December 30, 2014. The run includes every Sunday through March 29, 2015.

Watch for her "Wednesday Night Fever: Throwback to the Disco Divas"  productions. With that talent, this singer can take on anything she desires and do it extremely well.
