Puerto Vallarta plans to have the largest and most modern aquarium in the country with the construction project created on land owned by the local Maritime Terminal.

Miguel Ángel García-Beltrán, Director of the Port Authority (API) of Puerto Vallarta, said the project will be performed by a specialist in this type of work planned to be very large and modern.

He said that even though they are still awaiting the final design, the work would have the famous tunnels where you can see almost all marine species through glass.

He continued that the final plans could be ready later this year with construction to start in the first half of 2016.

The investment, which will be totally private, would be around 250 million pesos and will make the tourist destination of Puerto Vallarta having the largest and most modern aquarium in Mexico.
