Act II has been busy putting together the line-up of entertainment to be presented during Puerto Vallarta's Gay Pride Week.
 
Act II Stages Gay Pride Week Schedule:
 
May 23
7:00 pm - “Casa Valentina” (Special Encore presentation) - Casa Valentina returns from a hit run with an Encore performance… just for Gay Pride Week… on May 23rd at 7:00 pm. This will be your last chance to see Casa Valentina since one of the stars is moving away from PV forever. So, get your tickets now!
9:30 pm (doors open) - Mama Tits – “Sweet Like Candy” returns to the Red Room Cabaret for 3 shows only during Gay Pride Week - In her jazz & blues journey through music and personal tales, Mama’s voice is velvety smooth, bringing to life such songs as Feeling Good, Dr. Long John, Summertime, and many more. People have called her the perfect blend of both comedy and soulful sounds that leaves you feeling empowered and joyful. Let her take you away from the troubles of today and transport you to a place that is simply “Sweet like Candy.”

4:00 pm - Gay Pride Film Festival - Join us at the screening of the documentary Beyond Gay: the Politics of Pride, along with a Q&A Panel with the film’s producer, Bob Christie, called “Power of Film to Changing Society.”
8:00 pm - Karaoke - Join us every Wednesday evening for the most fun of the week! Drink specials run from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm, with Karaoke starting at 8:00 pm. Our beautiful Encore Lounge is air-conditioned, and we feature the best Karaoke in town! It’s the place where all of your favorite singers from your favorite shows come to sing with the locals. It doesn’t matter if you are scared to get on the stage, or if you’re not a good singer, or if you just love to listen to others sing! It’s THE PLACE to meet and greet other people, and to get to know your fellow PV EXPATS. Come this Wednesday evening and join your hosts, Alfonso Lopez, Maria Rose and Marsha Ross!

8:00 pm - PVGMC Pride Concert – “Todos Juntos” (Together) - Join the Puerto Vallarta Gay Men’s Chorus (PVGMC) at Act II for their 4th Gay Pride Concert at Act II Stages. This year’s theme was born from a year where all communities have had to come together and rise up. The PVGMC is built on the idea that men from both sides of the wall have come together to sing and love and to form friendships.  “TODOS JUNTOS – TOGETHER” embodies that idea and brings together not only the music of the chorus, but many guest performers, such as Elvis Martinez (Red Room headliner), Kharla Barragan (owner of Alas Escuela de Canto), and Act II’s Voice of Vallarta WINNERS, Ana Adame, Eli Estrada, and Emperatriz Valles. Artistic Director, Alfonso Lopez, promises Vallarta a GAY PRIDE concert like none other!

ACT II announces first production for the winter season. After 4 years and thousands of request, Act II brings to the Main Stage with a all new production …ROCKY HORROR SHOW Opening Halloween night! Coming this summer… Act II is excited to announce the return of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, an Improv show featuring the newly-formed acting troupe, PV Players! Also we will present a new Cabaret series called Spotlight on Vallarta, which features local talented artists that are looking for a stage to play on. Act II, along with Producer Alfonso Lopez, reports that the Spotlight on Vallarta series has two slots left for two new performers! So, are you interested in creating your own Cabaret show? Or, maybe you’d like to become involved with our new Improv group, the PV Players!
